Bought a ticket for the Thai government lottery (สลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล) and want to know if you won? Here is when the results come out, what the prizes are, and the quickest ways to check your number, including scanning the ticket with your phone.
When are the Thai lottery draws?
The Thai government lottery is drawn twice a month, normally on the 1st and the 16th. The date can move when it falls on a public holiday. Results are published on the afternoon of the draw day.
What can a ticket win?
Each ticket has a 6-digit number. It is checked against several prize tiers:
- First prize: all six digits match
- Second to fifth prizes: your six digits match one of the numbers drawn for that tier
- Adjacent to first prize: your number is one above or one below the first prize
- First three digits / last three digits: the first or last three digits match one of the numbers drawn
- Last two digits: the last two digits match
One ticket can match more than one tier, so check them all.
Three ways to check your ticket
1. The official source
The Government Lottery Office (GLO) publishes the official results at glo.or.th. Always confirm a win there, or with an authorised seller, before claiming a prize.
2. News sites
Thai news sites publish the full result table soon after the draw. You compare your number by eye, tier by tier.
3. A results checker app
A checker app does the comparison for you. Thai Lottery: Results & Check is our free Android app:
- Scan the QR code on your paper ticket with the camera, or type the 6 digits
- It tells you right away whether you won, which prize and how much
- Keeps a history of the tickets you checked
- Sends a notification on draw days when new results are in
Results are loaded from public Thai lottery result pages shortly after each draw. The app is independent and not affiliated with the GLO, so the official result always wins.
Tips
- Check every tier: a ticket that misses first prize can still win with its last two or three digits.
- Keep the paper ticket safe and unfolded; you need it to claim a prize.
- Be careful with websites or messages that ask for a fee to "check" or "claim" a prize.
